If you are not restricted by the size of your patio, decking area or garden, opening out doors are ideal. If you have a smaller garden, and the inside space allows, consider opening in doors.
uPVC doors made with low emissivity glazing or with triple glazing are extremely energy-efficient. Our uPVC doors are fitted with double glazing as standard which is energy efficient in itself but you can also upgrade your glass to increase the energy efficiency of your doors and save on energy bills. For instance, we have triple glazed toughened glass with an argon gas-filled cavity and a Low-E coating available which gives better heat insulation as the Low-E coating keeps radiant heat inside your home during winter.
By engaging the multi-point lock each time your door is closed, the door compresses tightly and evenly against the frame. This will deliver the following benefits. It keeps your door in perfect alignment. Engaging the lock will create a seal to eliminate drafts and improve the energy efficiency of your door and help cut your energy bills. A tight fit will prevent the door from bowing due to natural expansion as a result of temperature fluctuations.
